horseback riding lessons

Cold Spring Farm offers professional riding lessons for children (ages 3+) as well as adults scheduled in either weekly group or private sessions.  Our program instruct beginners through advanced riders in equitation and hunters, with a focus on developing a  strong, proper foundation before advancement.

Our program is offered year-around, with weekday evenings and Saturday lesson slots offered to accommodate a variety of schedules. Lessons are taught in our all weather, indoor riding arena which includes beautiful footing, surrounding windows for natural lighting and ventilation, large industrial fans for summer cooling, heaters for winter spectators, and a viewing area for parents.

The stars of our lesson program are our wonderful group of lesson horses and ponies.  They have been selected for their gentle demeanor, patience, and ability to teach riders and allow them the ability to gain confidence as they progress in their riding. Although they come in all shape, sizes, and colors, they all have something unique to offer their riders.
