Cold Spring Farm is a family owned farm nestled in the hills of Oxford, PA. The farm is operated by head trainer, Cindy Gallagher and her assistant trainer, Sarah Purinton who together have over 35 years experience in the horse industry and training riders in the hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions as well as out fox hunting!
We specialize in providing exceptional services and personalized care in all aspects of the horse industry.

Cindy Gallagher
Cindy has taught numerous children how to ride and has coached several Year-End Award winners, and has coached several riders to Grand Champion High-Point riders of the local horse show series. Her background in riding includes winning the equitation classic at Ludwig's Corner all the way to Western Pleasure. She has a unique ability for matching prospective owners with the perfect horse or pony. She is excellent at selecting and recognizing quality horses and ponies and has consistently produced winners on the local and rated shows.

Sarah Purinton
Sarah is Assistant Trainer at CSF and also helps manage the barn.
Her students have consistently been High-Point Champions and Overall Series Champions of several show series in the area. In 2009 she was presented the Trainer of the Year award for one of the local show series. She has a passion for teaching students of all ages and loves taking kids to horse shows and going on trail rides! When not teaching, Sarah is usually riding and showing her own horse, Yogi in both the hunter and jumper rings or working towards her degree in Equine Studies.

Janice is Cold Spring Farm's offical photographer! She does an amazing job taking photos of the horses and ponies, and capturing many of our horse show memories. Thank you so much Janice for all of your help!

Becky Mark
Becky is in charge of schooling many of CSF horses and ponies and is a huge help around the barn. She is very dedicated to making each horse and pony safe, well-schooled, and high quality. She truly puts her heart into every ride and we are very fortunate to have her. She is a good rider with a big heart. When not riding one of our horses, she is usually showing in equitation or jumpers or doing something in Pony Club!
Katie Katie Little
Katie is Cindy's neighbor and one of our working students at CSF. She is a HUGE help at he barn! All the horses and ponies love her! She is a kind and sensitive rider, and has a bright future ahead of her.
Katie has had an impressive show season on Glencoe Delilah, riding her to a Reserve Grand Champion in the Small Pony Hunters! We are so proud of Katie and Delilah and can't wait to see what next year brings!
Grace Grace Crawford
Grace rides many of the sale horses and ponies at CSF and also helps do the daily barnwork.
Grace is a very hard worker and is a huge asset to the farm. She got her very first pony this year, Lightning whom she shows in the Medium Pony Hunters and Pony Medal Classes.
Grace's goal is to show Lightning in the pony jumpers at Pony Finals and qualify for the pony jumpers at Devon! We know you two can do it!

Lauren Gallagher
Lauren is Cindy's daughter and the life of the barn! Lauren and her pony, Blazin' Hot show in the Short Stirrup Equitation and Hunter divisions. They had a fantastic 2011 show season together!
Look for Lauren and Blaze in Short Stirrup and Pre-Children's next year!
Johnathon
Johnathon Gallagher
Johnathon is Cindy's son! You can usually find him zooming around on some sort of bike or scooter or playing with friends. When he isn't at the barn, he is out racing Quarter Midgets. Johnathon has had a great racing season with lots of wins! He also enjoys playing with his dogs, Rosie and Roxy.

Congratulation to all our riders on their fantastic rides and ribbons at the Dream Park Horse Show in NJ! It was a fun day with tons of competition, and the girls were happy to be back on the road and spend the day with their ponies. We had several champions, reserves, and big class winners- check out the show results page for full details.
Congratulations to Lauren Kolachny on her purchase of her new large pony, Off To See the Wizard aka Ozzy! Look for these two in the green pony hunters this spring!
Another congratulations to new horse owner and boarder- Monica Torelli on her purchase of her new horse Otto!

Several of our lesson horses and ponies are available for full and half lease this spring. Leasing is a great way to experience owning a horse or pony without full time and financial responsibility. Please contact us for more information!

Lessons
Lessons
Lessons are available to riders of all ages and levels of experience. Learn to ride on safe, high quality horses and ponies and tack with qualified, experienced trainers. Riders will learn all aspects of horsemanship including proper grooming techniques and care. Riders begin in private lessons to evaluate skills and build confidence before being placed in similar level groups. Whether your goals are in the show ring or not, we will work to meet them and set new ones.

2011 Lesson Prices
1/2 Hour Private on CSF Horse/Pony- $40
1 Hour Group on CSF Horse/Pony- $40
1/2 Hour Private on own Horse/Pony- $35

Boarding Full Boarding
Full Board is $450 per month and includes the following:
•12x12 Stall cleaned and bedded daily.
•Grain and Supplements Fed 2x/day.
•Free Choice High-Quality Timothy and/or Alfalfa Hay
•Blanketing/Fly Spraying as needed.
•Turnout with same gender horses/ponies.
•Bi-Monthly Worming
•Opportunities for indoor riding will be available weekly during winter months.
Field Boarding
Field Board is $350 per month and includes: 24/7 Turnout in same gender group with large turnout sheds. Grain fed 2x Free choice timothy hay available at all times. Whether you are looking for a tune up or you are ready to get your future champion started under saddle, Cold Spring Farm can help. After evaulation, each horse/pony is put into a 5 day per week routine including training on the ground, and in and outside of the ring. Our goal is to make each horse or pony safe, well schooled, and happy so that you can have a lasting equine partnership. Includes full board services and 5 schooling rides per week.

We will handle all horse/pony prep and schooling, advertising, appointments, clients, vettings and trailering. With years of experience and happy clients, we know how to bring out the best in our horses/ponies and match them with new potential owners. Full or Field Board options.

Summer Camp Summer Riding Camp
We are looking forward to yet another fantastic, fun-filled summer at Cold Spring Farm! We offer both full day and half day camps for riders of all ages, and levels of experience. Please read camp descriptions below, and don't forget to check out photos from last years camp- we had a blast! Our camps do fill up quickly, so please sign your camper up early!
Full Day Summer Camp 9:00AM-3:00PM (Ages 6-15)
Each camp week riders will be placed in groups based on their riding levels and knowledge. Regardless of their riding ability, each morning campers will learn the daily skills of all horsemen including how to grain, hay, water, lead horses and ponies in and out of fields, muck stalls, and provide basic care. Campers will be assigned to horses and ponies appropriate for their riding level, and will have daily group lessons to build their skills and confidence. Campers will primarily ride english, but will also have opportunities to experience western and bareback riding. Other topics that may be covered:
Mane and Tail Braiding Mane Pulling Clipping Leg Bandaging First Aid- Taking temperature, checking vitals, treating minior injuries Loading/Unloading Horses from Trailers Bathing Parts of the Tack and Horse In addition to riding, campers will also learn from field trips to other local equine businesses and visits from other equine professionals Last years field trips and guests included:
Trip to Derbydowns owned by top hunter rider, Louise Serio Trip to Scott Hassler's Dressage Barn Trip to Sylmar Farm Visit to New Bolton Center Sam Brown, Natural Horsemanship Trainer Dr. Donna Moore from Unionville Equine Campers will also get to enjoy several arts and crafts, have fun bouncing around on our moon bounce, cool off with our slip and slide, and win prizes playing several horse related games! Our campers leave each week with new friends both two legged and four!
Mini Camp 9AM-12PM (Ages 3-6)
Mini-Camp is geared towards the youngest pony enthusiasts! These half-day camps will feature all the super fun activities of regular camp, in a more condensed schedule to keep our youngest riders focused and ready to learn all about ponies! Our Mini-Campers will have tons of one on one instruction on our excellent, well-mannered ponies! Craft time and game time will provide campers with tons of horse knowledge while keeping campers engaged and learning what riding is all about!

Devon The Devon Horse Show- May 28, 2011
